Celebrar la Navidad
Sabiduría para la vida – Jesús el centro de la Navidad

Sin duda que la Navidad fue un hecho histórico y real, pero sobre todo extraordinario y sobrenatural. Porque en Navidad, la primera Navidad, el mundo entero recibió y fue impactado con buenas noticias de parte de Dios.
La Biblia nos dice que aquella gloriosa noche los ángeles proclamaron el mensaje del amor divino: “Hoy les ha nacido en la Ciudad de David un Salvador, que es Cristo el Señor.” (Lucas 2:11)
En este gran acontecimiento en la historia de la humanidad sobresalen diversos personajes alrededor de esa Navidad, y de los cuales podemos aprender, como Sabiduría para la Vida, importantes lecciones espirituales. Consideremos en esta ocasión y de manera particular a los magos de Oriente, aquellos hombres sabios, estudiosos, que de alguna manera conocían ya las Sagradas Escrituras, y quienes habían oído las profecías que un día cercano, vendría a este mundo el Mesías prometido, el Cristo de Dios, el Salvador del mundo. Ese momento llegó y movió la vida y el corazón de aquellos personajes que desde lejanas tierras llegaron en busca de Jesús, la verdadera Navidad.
Por tanto, de ellos aprendemos primeramente que en Navidad:
Buscaron al rey de los judíos. En esa primera navidad, ellos buscaron con diligencia, de todo corazón y con la verdadera intención de encontrarlo. Es decir, no se quedaron indiferentes, sino que se propusieron sinceramente conocerlo. Se dieron a la tarea de encontrarlo, dándole prioridad en su agenda personal. ¿Cuál es tu prioridad en la vida?
“¿Dónde está el que ha nacido rey de los judíos? —preguntaron—. Vimos levantarse su estrella y hemos venido a adorarlo.” (Mateo 2:2)
Lo cierto es que la gente de nuestros tiempos anda de aquí para allá, buscando muchas cosas. Su prioridad y su corazón está en las cosas materiales, terrenales que perecen y son vanidad y no en las que la vida eterna permanecen. Hay que poner nuestra atención en Dios, en Jesús, el autor y consumador de nuestra fe, el único camino que nos lleva a Dios y nos da la vida eterna.
Jesús, es el verdadero significado de la navidad
Indagaron acerca del Mesías. Preguntaron con la fe necesaria para hallarlo, con la convicción y determinación de que ya había nacido. “Porque sin fe es imposible agradar a Dios y el que se acerca a Él es necesario que crea que le hay y que es galardonador de los que le buscan.”
Querían verlo a Él, y no a ellos, para alegrarse, acercarse, contemplarlo, admirarlo. Preguntaron porque esa era su principal y única motivación, “Su estrella hemos visto en el Oriente, dijeron, y venimos a adorarle.”
Le ofrecieron presentes
Mostraron su verdadera adoración ofreciendo sus regalos, abrieron sus tesoros, con lo mejor que tenían.
Dios merece siempre esperar lo mejor de nosotros. Lo mejor que le podemos ofrecer es nuestra fe de corazón y aceptarle como nuestro Salvador. Sus regalos: oro, incienso y mirra tenían un simbolismo y significado profético, ya que revelaban el carácter y naturaleza del Mesías:
Oro: símbolo de su realeza y dignidad divina, como Rey y Señor del universo.
Incienso: se revela como nuestro gran sumo sacerdote, único intercesor y abogado.
Mirra: como el Cordero de Dios, que allí en la cruz sufrió y dio su vida por nosotros.
En esta Navidad que Cristo nazca y habite por la fe en tu corazón. Acércate hoy a Él, al trono de su gracia para hallar misericordia y el oportuno socorro. Jesucristo es el mismo, ayer, hoy y por todos los siglos. Él no cambia, permanece siempre fiel a sus promesas y a su Palabra que es fiel y digna de ser recibida por todos: Cristo Jesús vino al mundo desde aquella primera Navidad para salvar a los pecadores, de los cuales yo soy el primero.
Que en esta próxima navidad, la paz de Dios gobierne sus pensamientos y corazones en Cristo Jesús. ¡Shalom!
