¿Por qué nos hicimos adictos a las redes sociales?
Es posible que hayas notado que en una mesa de un restaurante con 10 comensales, seis estén usando su celular. O que en una piñata, las mamás estén cuidando a su niño mientras están viendo también su teléfono. En el transporte público y hasta en el baño… Pero es poco probable que ser adicto a las redes te aporte algo positivo.
Hay a quienes les encanta ser el centro de atención, por lo que están constantemente publicando desde su comida hasta su hora de dormir para obtener comentarios o reacciones. ¿La razón? El cerebro se siente neurológicamente estimulado al ver los likes o leer los comentarios en el feed.
De hecho, hay personas que sin darse cuenta hasta bromean al decir que ¨son adictas a su celular¨, y es que mientras están en su lugar de trabajo, tienen el smartphone en la mano o a su lado, volteando a ver cada vez que les llega una notificación para inmediatamente responder y sentir cómo se libera su dopamina. Esto los pone de buenas o por el contrario, los tumba hasta el suelo si hubo un mal comentario. El resultado es que no desempeñan bien su trabajo.
La realidad es que en las redes sociales sólo se muestra lo mejor de la vida de cada persona, el mejor ejemplo es Instagram. A nadie le gusta seguir a alguien que postea imágenes o comentarios desagradables. Aunque lo mismo sucede con Facebook, esta red es más propensa a que cuando de alguien está de malas lo publique, esperando recibir comentarios de apoyo.
Sí soy dependiente, no soy dependiente
Para saber esto, sólo piensa cada cuándo haces lo siguiente:
- Suena la alarma de tu celular por las mañanas y en lugar de darle los buenos días a u pareja, ves qué novedades publicaron los demás.
- Te frustras si no le hacen caso a tus posts.
- Revisas las historias de tus amigos para ver qué tan padre es su vida o si es mejor que la tuya.
- Eres de los que le da like a sus propias publicaciones.
- Te sientes mal porque al post de tu mejor amigo sí le dieron like y al tuyo no.
¿Puedo cambiar?
- Pon un cronómetro cada vez que vas a revisar una red social.
- Piensa en qué aprendiste en estar viendo la vida de los demás o si hubo una buena nota que te haya aportado algo.
- Dedica sólo un cierto tiempo en la mañana, tarde o en la noche para revisar qué hicieron los 50 amigos.
- Para estar tranqui todo el día, apaga las notificaciones.
